Short about Plios – More about Jazz!

Music can unite cities and countries, especially when it comes to jazz music. Thus, Ukrainian jazz orchestra “Alex Fokin RadioBand” November 26, 2011 will hold a concert in a small, but very picturesque town of Ivanovo, Moscow region.

"Alex Fokin RadioBand" will hold a concert in Moscow on Mother's Day. Moscow mothers will appear in delicate atmosphere of jazz-café, where will be performed greatest world jazz compositions by Moscow, Armenian and Ukrainian jazz bands and soloists.

Congratulations to a winner of special TV project "Take Ten!"

September 16, 2011 in "Shuster LIVE" studio at 23:30 will be held awarding of a winner of  special TV project "Take Ten!", that was conducted by State Academic Orchestra "Alex Fokin RadioBand" and production studio "Shuster LIVE".

Simultaneously with preparation to the shooting of the musical feature film "Jazzman" jointly with a studio "Shuster Live" being launched national television competition for choosing top 10 jazz compositions of second half of 20th century for final gala-concert of music movie.

About the last concert, and future plans

With the resounding success took place three jubilee concerts by Raimonds Pauls and the Alex Fokin RadioBand. Like in Kiev the same in St. Petersburg audience greeted the stars with a standing ovation and a full concert-hall.

27 February 2011 at the Grand Concert Hall "October" held concert of eminent Maestro Raimonds Pauls and one of the best jazz orchestras in the world, the State Academic Orchestra “Alex Fokin RadioBand”, on the 75th anniversary of the composer.

Meeting with Lee Ritenour

30 October 2010 at the annual jazz festival "Jazz in Kiev 2010" held a creative meeting of bandleader Alex Fokin with prominent American guitar player, a superstar of world jazz Lee Ritenour. Alex Fokin was pleasantly surprised that the great musician was absent familiar with the work of the orchestra for the audio and video clips available on the internet and appreciated the style and sound quality team.

29 October 2010 our guest was Maestro Igor Krutoy. During the meeting the team demonstrated several instrumental and vocal compositions, among them «Havana Night» Freddie Ravel, «Some Skunk Funk» Randy Breaker, «New York State Of Mind» Billy Joel, «Superstition» Stevie Wonder, «Mista» Diane Reeves.

16 November, 2010 in a large concert recording studio home of the National Radio Company of Ukraine will take place "live" recording a Christmas concert "RadioBand by Alex Fokin" to order of the European Broadcasting Union.

On August 18th, 2010 in the VI Kiev International Book Fair will be held a solo concert of one of the best orchestras in the world "Alex Fokin RadioBand".

The concert starts at 17:00 in the International Exhibition Centre on the central stage of Pavilion № 1.
