Alex Fokin

Date of birth: 26.06.1954. Alex Fokin Director “Alex Fokin RadioBand” is the actual founder and truly estimated leader of the “RadioBand”, - artistic and music head executive of the orchestra, talented and sophisticated composer, synthesizer performer, sound –producer and man who responds for all and everything in the orchestra since its very foundation. He has graduated from the State conservatory in the city Kharkov and is conductor by his principal education. Mr. Fokin is the man who proved through really hard work and devoted personality that jazz nurtures good musical taste at all the times. The shrewd manner and special intelligent approach makes great contribution into the development of public culture level in Ukraine, thus bringing out the best of the world - wide appreciated masterpieces of jazz and blues music material. At present, “Alex Fokin Radioband” is the truest phenomenon in Ukraine, highly welcomed by the recognized music legends, - loyal friends and creative partners.

Valeriy Kovalchuk

Date of birth: 5.06.1963 in the city Pervomaysk. He graduated from the R. M. Gliere State Music Higher Institution his studies during the period of 1978 – 1982. After graduating in 1982, he started working as the orchestra artist in the Kiev stage theatre. In 1989 he moved to work in the Music Hall in the city Kiev as the artist of orchestra, where he worked till 1991. In 1991 he started working as an artist of the symphonic orchestra of the television and broadcasting company of Ukraine, till 1997. In 2002 he began to work in the exponential orchestra of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine in the city Kiev, till 2005. In 2006 he started working in the Centre of Culture and Art of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine in Kiev, till 2008. Valeriy is member of the “Alex Fokin Radioband” since 2009.

Dmitry Prihodko

Date of birth: 06.10.1984 in Dnepropetrovsk. He graduated from the State school of Culture and Arts in Dnepropetrovsk, successfully passed the trumpet course. Dmitry played as concertmaster in jazz orchestra «MOROX BAND» under the management of V.A. Marhovsky. Performed in an orchestra at the academy under the management of S.V. Prikhodko and at the band «That, whatever it is talked about».

Alexander Ilyika

Date of birth: 22.05.1987 in Nikolayev. He graduated from S.S. Prokofiev State academy in Donetsk. Alexander worked in jazz septet of Kuslin in Donetsk philharmonic. He also participated in international and Ukrainian jazz festivals: “Dzhaliton” in Yalta and festival of young performers in Donetsk. Alexander is member of the “Alex Fokin Radioband” since 2011.

Maxim Varshavskiy

Date of birth: 13.10.1982 in Dnepropetrovsk. After graduating from music school, Maxim played in a youth big-band under the guidance of Stas Varshavskiy. After that this talented musician moved to Germany where continued studying and entered the «Hochschule für Musik» in Keln. In 2003 y. he became a finalist in the "Yamaha" competition and awarded like "Best saxophonist in Europe 2003". Maxim participated in jazz festivals with a Cubin star Alfredo Hachevaria. He also had a hand in writing the soundtracks to films like "Beyond the Sea", "Glaze" and "Cursed paradise". In 2007 y. this musician worked in a project "Cirque Bouffoun". Like soloist performed with numerous bands and big-bands such as "Yamaha Big Band", "Kai Podack Big Band" and "Brandon Stone".

Alexii Sagitov

Date of birth: 06.08.1976 in the Beshkutan, Uzbekistan. He graduated from the S.S. Prokofiev State conservatory in Donetsk, Ukraine (1995 – 2000). During his studies in 1993 he performed with his solo- concerts in France as the best student. He took part in the Polish – Ukranian project timed for the Duke Ellington` s memory. He is a member of the “Alex Fokin RadioBand” since 2004.

Armen Konstandyan

Date of birth: 19.11.1985 in Charentsavan (Armenia). He graduated from P. I. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy. He plays percussion and Armenian national music instrument duduk. Armen participated in international and national jazz festivals: “Friendship bridges”, “Jazz Cocktebel”. He also participated in such projects like “Eastern jazz”, “Jazz impression”, “Armenian folk project”.  Armen is a member of “Alex Fokin RadioBand” since 2005.

Anatoly Mikhailov

Date of birth: 31.05.1954 in the city Stolbtsy, Byelorussia. This is one of the most outstanding Ukranian guitarists with huge experience of performance with big - bands, symphonic and jazz orchestras, as well as different music bands. He started his music career since 1978, as the Kiev State Philharmonic artist. Later, he became the soloist of the popular instrumental symphonic orchestra of the State Television and Radio Committee of Ukraine. The “Le Star” company` s ensemble guitarist. Since 1999 this excellent studio musician is an unchangeable member of all the “Alex Fokin RadioBand” projects.

Vitaly Delestyanov

Date of birth: 13.04.1969 in the city Kirovograd. This highly advanced musician is famous for the huge experience of performance with the bands of quite different musical styles. Mr. Delestyanov played with different popular music and jazz bands on the territory of Republic Poland and Germany. Vitaly also created the arrangements for such serials as “Honor Code”, “Honor code -2”, “Nation` s color”, “Utyosov” and “Makhno”. He is able to professionally play all kinds of key-board instruments, and has an essential experience of performance with the bands of quite different music styles.Vitaly is a very experienced studio musician, who is a member of the “Alex Fokin RadioBand” since 2003.

Stanislav Lutsky

Date of birth: 28.05.1964 in the city Kiev. He successfully passed the piano - forte/guitar course, and in the 1992 year has graduated from the Gnesinykh Music specialized School branch in the city Orlov. He has really huge experience of performance with different music bands, especially blues bands. Stanislav performed piano and guitar solos with the bands like “Second breath”,  “Cotton Fields” (the guitar solos), “Crossfire”. Stanislav also took part in the guitarists` duo that performed flamenco style. He took part in the sessions with “Animals”, “Sweet”, “Uriah Heep” music bands. Stanislav has experience as the studio guitarist. Mr. Lutsky is the international and national jazz and blues professional festivals Laureate. He also has pedagogical experience, and has brought up the generation of young talented guitarists. Stanislav is a member of the “Alex Fokin RadioBand” since 2002.

Evgeniy Seleznev

Date of birth: 20.05. 1979, in Krivoy Rog. He studied in Krivoy Rog Musical Institution and Kharkov Institute of Arts. Cooperated with Sergey’s Davidov quartet, Olga’s Voychenko quintet, band “Shid Sayd”, singer Gaytana. Was participant of numerous jazz festivals: Koktebel Jazz Fest, ”JAZZ JAMBOREE”, Х...Jazz. Drum teacher in R.Glier Kiev Institut of music and R.M. Glier Kiev state Higher Music College. Has experience in participation in TV projects such as “Stars of karaoke” and “Stars in opera”. Evgeniy is member of the “Alex Fokin RadioBand” since 2011.

Nataliya Isachenko

Date of birth: 9.04.1988, in the city Dniepropetrovsk. In 2002 she finished the first course of the Glinka Specialized Music Institution in Dniepropetrovsk, where she studied piano and singing. In 2003 Nataliya was already studying in the Kiev's College of performance and circus arts, and graduated in 2007. Nataliya is in the Alex Fokin RadioBand since 2006.

Alyona Sharun

Date of birth: 10.12.1984 in the city Debaltseve, region of Donetsk city. From 1996 till 2001 she was student in the pop (variety) vocal studio of the Child and Youth local House of Creativity. She took part in many children and youth competitions and festivals. In 2001 she entered the East Ukranian National University (in Lugansk) for the specialty “the information activities responsible office worker”. In the period of 2003-2007 she studied in the Culture and Arts college in Lugansk. In 2007 she entered the State Academy of the Culture and Arts leading cadres of Ukraine (city Kiev), to the pop (variety) performance department. Nowadays she is the MA course student of the associate professor, the Honoured Artist of Ukraine - Shapovalova R.G. In 2007 she was also the soloist of the pop-jazz collective “Sweet time” (city Kiev). In 2008 she was accepted to the internship in the State Academic orchestra “Alex Fokin RadioBand”. The Grand – Prize in the vocal genre of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine competition for the amateur and professional bands.
